Images of the incident circulated widely on social networks this weekend, fueling concern about the state of health of the 80s icon. At the start of the video, we see the interpreter of Under the sunlight of the tropics dancing with a young girl to the rhythm of the title I wanna dance with somebody by Whitney Houston, before heading to the front of the stage and falling. Security agents quickly intervened to help the artist on the ground, but Internet users remained all weekend without knowing the state of the singer’s injuries.

“It’s true that I fell from a height”
On Instagram, Gilbert Montagné spoke this Monday to calm concerns: “I’m up, I’m doing very well, but it could have been terrible,” he explains. “It’s true that I fell from a height,” adds the singer, referring to “a fall of almost two meters.”
However, the artist questions the content of the content broadcast on social networks: “One person filmed this fall, but he or she did not film the moment when I get back on stage, because that’s my victory !” The artist insists: “I did the rest of my show with great energy” before warmly thanking his fans.
