Many viewers wonder if Emily Bégin and Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge will return for the sequel to If we loved each othergiven the scandal surrounding the latter earlier this spring.
You should know that the couple filmed their If we still loved each other last winter and that they did two blocks of filming; the first with the four couples we met this spring and the other, with four other pairs of lovers in crisis.
Thus, it would be surprising if this new – and third – season was not broadcast as is, given the lenient reception of viewers towards the second version. It must be said that TVA’s decision to present If we still loved each other this spring despite the controversy surrounding its headliner had caused reactions, but there were – ultimately – not too many waves during the broadcast.
It will therefore be surprising if Emily and Guillaume are not back for the sequel (at least, for the next version of If we still loved each other).
Moreover, we will remember that, last year, during the broadcast of the first season of If we still loved each other, the production had encouraged viewers experiencing problems with their romantic partners to register for the show since they would be entitled – in addition to free therapy – to a trip to the South. In an interview with Louise Sigouin at the start of the season, she told us that it was precisely this second group of candidates who had been entitled to this luxury.
We don’t know when this third season will air. In the fall, perhaps? To be continued!
Nothing is confirmed at the moment either regarding a 5th season of the original formula of If we loved each other.
