Having died at the age of 93 following a long illness, Philippe Leroy leaves behind an impressive career. The actor’s funeral will take place in Rome, the city where he moved with his family when he was young. Born in 1930 in Paris, Philippe Leroy initially had a military career before turning to cinema. The actor has left his mark on Italian and French cinema with more than 200 roles in various films and series. Revealed to the public in 1960 in the film “The hole” by Jacques Becker, he quickly established himself in Italy with major roles in works like “Seven men in gold” And “The Guerrillas”. My father was a well-known actor in Italy; my mother, who was an artistic director at Dior, was a very beautiful woman, very inspired, very creative, in love with beauty.
