Lilibet is 3 years old: these notable differences with the other royal children who can play tricks on her

This Tuesday, June 4, 2024, Lilibet, the daughter of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, celebrates her third birthday. Archie’s sister, who has never made any public appearance, will thus be spoiled by her parents and those around the Sussexes. On the occasion of this anniversary, our colleagues from Point of view were interested in the differences between this little girl and the other children from the royal family.

If his brother was born in London, Lilibet was born in the United States. And for good reason, his parents had already left England and settled across the Atlantic. Thus, Meghan Markle does not need to present her daughter to the media, as she was forced to do for Archie.

Archie and Lilibet did not have the same childhood at all

Another notable difference: Lilibet received a very secret baptism. Unlike the other royal children, the little girl made her entrance into the Church in front of around twenty guests. No member of the royal family was invited. If her eldest, Archie, made numerous official trips, such as at the age of 4 months to South Africa, Lilibet never accompanied her parents.

The only big trip that she is carrying out takes place in June 2022, when she goes to London to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s platinum jubilee. That’s when she met her great-grandmother and celebrated her very first birthday.

But here again, tensions between the Crown and its parents are high. No official photos will be taken to celebrate Lilibet’s meeting with Queen Elizabeth II. She could also be the least photographed child of the royal family even though she is the daughter of Prince Harry…

However, Lilibet, whose first name echoes the nickname given to her great-grandmother, was born of royal blood. The child, although removed from the British crown, is the granddaughter of Charles III. Family ties that no one can take away. This Tuesday, June 4, Lilibet’s parents will be able to put their daughter in the spotlight.
