This Saturday, June 1, Marc Veyrat was not behind the stove in one of his restaurants. The 74-year-old famous chef had much more important things to do because he got married! It is the site -.fr which tells us this and which says more about the marriage of the man who has been recognized for many years as one of the greatest French chefs. Alongside figures like Alain Ducasse or Joël Robuchon, he has made French gastronomy shine in the four corners of France and almost everywhere in the world. Recognizable by his famous black hat that he wears daily, the native of Annecy, in Haute-Savoie, is a big name in his field, but last weekend, he had swapped the apron and the hat for the tuxedo.

Marc Veyrat married the person who shares his life, the discreet Christine, during a ceremony held in his native region, in one of the most exclusive ski resorts in France. Owner of the restaurant La Ferme de mon Père in Megève (Haute-Savoie), it is no coincidence that the chef chose this city to organize this very special day. For the occasion, the latter dressed to the nines, “all dressed in black, white sneakers on his feet, his emblematic hat still firmly fixed on his head”as stated -.fr. For her part, Christine had an unconventional outfit since she wore a black suit with a black headband in her hair. The stars came for this event like no other and it must be said that the chef rubs shoulders with them since many of them go to his establishments, he who owns several prestigious restaurants all over France.

The stars gathered for Marc Veyrat’s wedding

To celebrate the union between Marc Veyrat and Christine, the chef had the pleasure and honor of counting on the presence of one of the most influential French directors of his time, Claude Lelouch. Another star and friend of the starred chef, the Quebec singer Garou had also traveled to Haute-Savoie to attend the festivities, just like the famous chef George White or the inventor of the tropézienne tart, Alexandre Micka. “I am very happy and I will say why. Not only do I love my wife, but above all, I love this entire population. I love others, I like to please. A cook’s eyes sparkle with delicacies and he must love others, otherwise it doesn’t work, but with us, it works!” said the newlywed on the show The village place broadcast live on Facebook.
