Chanel exported to Marseille. The Parisian house organized its 2024-2025 cruise fashion show on the roof of the Cité radieuse, on Thursday May 2, 2024. A show which took place against all odds (the mistral was there and ensured a breathtaking experience for the guests -es), in front of a veritable audience of stars.
Among the guests, the rapper SCH, the model Caroline de Maigret, the actress Lily-Rose Depp, the Chanel ambassador Charlotte Casiraghi… But also the actress Marion Cotillard, who discovered the new collection imagined by Virginie Viard, director artistic by Chanel since the death of Karl Lagerfeld in 2019, in an ensemble stamped with the double C. His outfit? A buttoned midi dress, slipped under a matching negligee. Both pieces displayed a sawtooth print, represented by a red line, a black line and the six letters that make up the word Chanel in white capitals. Mesmerizing. To complete this look, presented during the Chanel fall-winter 2024-2025 fashion show, the actress opted for a knotted belt, a black leather handbag and a single earring with a large logo.
A solar show
If the sun did not light up the Marseille sky, on the catwalk, the models radiated in their bright yellow ensembles, their intense green dresses and their pastel cardigans. Mini lengths, hybrid shoes and parasol stripes anchored this collection in the season’s trends. Special mention for the last twelve silhouettes, variations on the theme of white. Dresses, tops, shorts and skirts with original cuts, all available in immaculate fabrics. These clothes, by turns bohemian, minimalist or preppy, are those that a cool bride could wear on her wedding day, randomly, facing the Mediterranean Sea.
