In a lengthy interview, the director of antennas and programs at France Télévisions explains about the early afternoon appointment on channel 5 for a quarter of a century: “I saw that the suppression of the ‘Health Magazine’ had caused a stir. I understand the attachment to this historic France 5 program and we therefore finally decided to extend it“.
Asked about the presenter who will be in charge at the start of the next school year, Stéphane Sitbon-Gomez continues: “We are working with the Newen teams to develop a new format for the magazine: Jimmy Mohamed will be alone in charge every day. But Marina Carrère d’Encausse keeps the presentation of ‘Enquête de santé’ in the first part of the evening and we work with her on social documentaries“.

In recent months, Michel Cymes and Marina Carrère d’Encausse had not hesitated to make it known openly that they disapproved of France Télévisions’ choice to stop “Le Magazine de la santé”. On the set of “C à vous”, Michel Cymes had for example confided: “The shutdown of the ‘Health Magazine’, yes, I am very angry, Marina is also very angry, because we are a collateral victim of a war between the majority shareholder of the production house, which is TF1, and France Télévisions, because there was a complaint from TF1 against France Télévisions…“.
