“Indefensible”: Nour Belkhiria addresses viewers after the tragic death of Inès Saïd

Actress Nour Belkhiria opened up on Friday about her departure from the daily Indefensible and thanked the audience “for changing my life.”

We remember that her character, the criminal lawyer Inès Saïd, died in the last episode of the 2nd season, on April 25, when she got into the vehicle of her office colleague, Mr. Frédéric Legrand. The car exploded when it started, instantly killing these two main characters.

This scene was filmed on November 22, her birthday and the same date she auditioned to play the intern who later became a criminal lawyer.

“I was auditioning for Indefensible on 11/22/2021. On 11/22/2023, we were filming the explosion scene. Inès came into my life and left it on the same date. The crazy thing is that I was born on November 22. It all had to be written in the stars,” Nour Belkhiria pointed out on Instagram.

She was the one who announced her intention to leave the series. The writing of the 2nd season was halfway through when she shared it with showrunner Izabel Chevrier. The latter explained to the QMI Agency that the actress wants to bounce back her career in Europe.

Nour Belkhiria said she was putting off writing a message to fans of TVA’s legal fiction because she “dreaded[t] the fact that we say goodbye, the fact that it doesn’t become too concrete.”

“I read you all with so much joy and gratitude. I would love to sit down with everyone, explain the why and how, but we would miss the most important thing. I especially want to express my gratitude to you at this moment. Thanks for the smiles, the “Inès!” when we meet. Seeing the happiness on your faces, that’s what made me the most proud,” she wrote, addressing the faithful of the show produced by Pixcom, many of whom are invested to the point of debating the trials in storylines on different platforms.

“Thank you for your constant support, which has been my motivation during the many moments of doubt. Thank you for loving Inès as much as I loved her,” she added.

She also spoke about Me Richard Dubé, the co-author and creator ofIndefensible with his partner Izabel Chevrier.

“Richard, I can only think of you right now. Thanks for Inès. Thank you for being this beneficial presence for everyone on set. I feel privileged to have had the chance to meet you. Thank you for inspiring me, and for continuing to do so.”
