The young man returns to the hospital… but dies there

Indian media reported that he suffered an epileptic seizure, and that a doctor pronounced him dead upon arrival at the hospital.

But the hospital's chief doctor, D. Singh, told AFP that a doctor had “prepared the post-mortem report without carrying out the autopsy, and the body was then sent for cremation “.

The chief doctor added that “shortly before” his cremation, “the body (…) began to move” but also that “he was alive and breathing”.

The young man was transported to hospital a second time, but he was finally pronounced dead this Friday, November 22, 2024.

Three doctors were suspended, and police opened an investigation, the Times of India and other Indian media.
