An investigation by the newspaper Jeune Afrique has revealed new information about the family of the president of the National Rally, Jordan Bardella. His grandfather, Guerrino Bardella, married a Moroccan woman for the second time. In addition, the grandfather of the leader of the extreme right converted to Islam. A resident of Casablanca for many years, his last 10-year residence permit was issued in 2016.

Guerrino Bardella was first married to an Algerian, Réjane Mada. From this union was born Olivier, Jordan’s father.

“Known as a carpenter-cabinetmaker, working particularly in expatriate circles and among the Moroccan bourgeoisie, Guerrino Bardella is registered in the kingdom as an Italian national. He has long had his habits at the restaurant of the Italian Circle “Chez Massimo”, boulevard Bir Anzarane, in Maarif,” specifies the same source.

«“We don’t know much about Jordan Bardella’s relationship with this grandfather who converted to Islam and settled in Morocco. Even less about his relationship with his Algerian origins, the president of the RN having never mentioned them publicly,” concludes Jeune Afrique.

The man who wants to expel immigrants and makes a distinction between French people because they have dual nationality has always been discreet about his origins and the cosmopolitan life of his grandfather.
