She could arrive here very soon. Explanations.

Invasive species

Large yellow and black spiders are getting closer and closer to Quebec. Originally from Asia, they were introduced to North America inadvertently. According to a recent study, the Joro spider adapts particularly well to its environment. It would have good resistance to urban stress. It is currently found in the southeastern United States, but has been observed as far away as Maryland.

Poisonous spider

The Joro spider is very aggressive. Its bite is painful: it is comparable to that of a bee. In fact, it has venom. However, the poison is not strong enough to seriously harm a human. Since she is not particularly fearful or off-putting to the noise of big cities, she can take up residence in unusual places. Giant webs have been seen on the side of highways, around traffic lights or near human habitation.

Soon in Quebec?

Joro spider migration is difficult to predict. Currently, researchers are observing its behavior. They think it could move north to New England and possibly southern Canada and Quebec. These Asian spiders are very resistant to cold.
