After five years of absence in Caen city center (Calvados), the craziest race of the year made its comeback this Friday June 28, 2024. Les Foulées des bistros greatly enlivened the end of the day in Caen, with a first meeting taking place at 7:45 p.m. for the traditional parade of participants.
800 participants in the Foulées des Bistrots
Not less than 800 competitors responded. Due to Covid-19, the 2020, 2021 and 2022 editions had to be canceled, while the 2023 edition was disrupted at the last minute by a demonstration. It could not have taken place.
And this year, what’s more, the sun was there, to better highlight the many disguises offered on the course.

The start was given around 8:30 p.m. The participants then had 6 km to cover, in two three-kilometer loops, from bar to bar…
Sometimes very sought-after disguises
Once again, some participants went far in making their disguise.
Of course, the competitors were able to benefit from refreshments worthy of the best aperitifs, on the terraces of the participating bars. Sport, good humor, costumes… Everything was there to have a great evening.
