The Emirates airline has banned its passengers from carrying pagers and walkie-talkies, after the wave of explosions in Lebanon in mid-September of these small boxes in an attack against Hezbollah blamed on Israel.

“All passengers traveling on flights to, from or via Dubai (where the company is based) are prohibited from carrying pagers and walkie-talkies in their luggage or in the cabin,” the company said in a statement. .

Due to the spiral of violence in the Middle East, Emirates has extended the suspension of its flights to Iran and Iraq until Tuesday (in effect since the Iranian missile attack launched on Tuesday against Israel) and to Lebanon until October 15.
