Bad end of the day for the sellers of the Christ jewelry store, at the Meyrin shopping center. This Thursday at 6:55 p.m., a man threatened them with a weapon before stealing several luxury items. “Two employees of the store were slightly injured and were treated,” said officer Alexandre Brahier, spokesperson for the police.
The man then fled. At this time, he is still actively sought by the cantonal police. “A major effort is being deployed to find him,” adds the spokesperson. Due to the municipality’s proximity to France, a cross-border alert has also been launched. The French gendarmes are therefore also on alert.
The police do not comment on the amount stolen by the attacker, nor on the type of weapon used by the latter.
