The “Télématin” family is growing. The Flavie Flament/Julien Arnaud presenter duo will not be the only newcomer this season. As revealed by “Le Parisien” in its September 15, 2024 edition, a new well-known columnist is joining the group. He is married to a journalist from France Télévisions.

The big day has finally arrived. This Monday, September 16, 2024, Flavie Flament and Julien Arnaud made their return to France 2, in Telematin. And these are not the only new recruits in the show as revealed The Parisian.

A well-known journalist joins Télématin

In fact, another well-known journalist joins the gang Telematin. This is Philippe Vandel. Our colleagues specify that he will be present once a week to talk about current events in an offbeat tone. However, it is not specified which day France 2 viewers will have the pleasure of discovering his first steps on the show. The 62-year-old journalist thus adds a line to his already full CV. It was at the age of 20 that he took his first steps on France Inter, in the show Adrenaline. And after joining Radio Nova (1984), he discovered the world of television in 1986, thanks to TV6. He then joined Canal+, where he stayed for no less than twelve years. He was notably admired as a columnist in Nowhere else.

In 2002, he joined France 5 to officiate in Freeze Frame. Then he collaborated with Laurent Ruquier on Europe 1 and France 2. He also worked at Franceinfo, D8 and France 2. In June 2023, Philippe Vandel was dismissed from Europe 1, where he hosted Culture Media and bounced in The Sunday Tribune.

His wife works for France Télévisions

By integrating the band of TelematinPhilippe Vandel joins his wife’s company. Let us recall that he is married to Dorothée Olliéric, 58 year old senior reporter who is part of the foreign policy service of France 2. Since 1992, she has been traveling to countries at war as part of her duties.A day, Our mutual friend Manon Loizeau gave me the phone call, then we met and we never left each other again. And it’s been 25 years”she recently told TV Mag, when discussing her meeting with her husband. Together, they had two children: Félix (22 years old) and Castille (20 years old).
