Images released by Paris Match retrace the arrest of Dominique Pelicot, the man accused of having drugged and raped his wife by dozens of men recruited on the internet. The singer Vianney reacted to this video, in which he heard one of his songs, playing at that moment in the store.

“There’s my song “beau-papa” (absurd contrast) that’s playing in the store when he gets caught, and I don’t know what to do with this information. Oh yes, I’ll take advantage of it to show my support for Gisèle Pelicot, so courageous and so dignified. Infinite respect, Madam,” can be read on his now-deleted post X.

Account inaccessible

“A little decency”, many Internet users did not appreciate the way the singer showed his support for the victim, especially for an “inaudible” song according to one of them.

The French artist’s X account is now inaccessible. The latter has not responded, it is not yet determined whether he was suspended or if he wanted to delete his account on his own.

Much criticized for having “brought everything back to him”, other people on X nevertheless support Vianney and remember above all his message of support.
