It is finally this year that Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes and Charlotte York will return to service for a third season of the series And Just Like That… While waiting for their return to our screens, here is everything we know about this long-awaited new batch of episodes.
When will it be broadcast?
If the creators have announced a third season for 2025, they have still not put forward an official date for the new adventures of the heroines de Sex and the City. If the broadcasts of the previous two seasons are anything to go by, fans may have to wait until June – or even December – before seeing their beloved characters on their screens.
Patti LuPone joins the cast

After Rosie O’Donnell last spring, Broadway legend Patti LuPone has just joined the cast of the next season. The one who shone on the stage thanks to musical comedies Evita, Les Miserables, Sweeney Todd and others Gypsy has become more present on our screens in recent years; we saw her, among others, in the series Hollywood, American Horror Story et Agatha All Alongin addition to the film Beau Is Afraid.
Sara Ramirez fired

The creators chose to get rid of the most polarizing character in the series by showing the door to actress Sara Ramirez, who plays Che Diaz. Her presence – which brought about the sexual awakening of Miranda Hobbes’ character – divided people in d’And Just Like That… throughout the first two seasons before finally being removed from the credits. The production has not commented publicly on this decision, but many allege that the actress was fired because of her controversial comments on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Actress Karen Pittman (Nya Wallace) left on better terms, either to honor her commitments to the series The Morning Show et Forever.
With or without Kim Cattrall?

The mystery continues to hover over the return – or absence – of Kim Cattrall in Samantha Jones’ pumps. After a brief appearance that caused a stir in the second season ofAnd Just Like That…no one knows if the Canadian actress will appear again in future episodes: although she denied the rumors last summer, they remain just as persistent.
A diminished success
The first season ofAnd Just Like That… was a resounding success with viewers when it was fired in December 2021, but its ratings saw a considerable drop when it returned to the air in the summer of 2023. The American magazine Forbes then argued that fans had completely abandoned the series, which would explain the 59% drop in audiences between the first episode of the first season and that of the second. Will this third go-round succeed in restoring Carrie Bradshaw’s image? The answer in the coming months.
