Launched two years ago on TF1, “Here it all begins”, a daily series derived from “Demain Nous Belongs” continues to enjoy resounding success. But this Friday, June 28, 2024, viewers will say goodbye to Liam Hellmann who has lent his features to David Gauthier since 2020. As reported by the “Parisien” that same day, the screenwriters not ruling out his return, preferred to bet on an open ending.

“Our actors sometimes want to experience other things”

In the process, next Monday, Axelle Dodier who played Kelly Rigaut will in turn bow out after having distinguished herself for three years in the saga. “It is an assumed production choice to see these departures follow one another because it coincides with the end of the exams in the plot.assured Églantine Sofianos, the producer of “Here it all begins”. But these two departures add to a long list… Indeed, other heroes of the Auguste Armand Institute, the show’s emblematic cooking school have hung up their aprons.

Like Thomas Lacroix (Ifig Brouard), Ambre Martin (Claire Romain), Lisandro Inesta (Agustín Galiana), Ethan Cardone (Rik Kleve), Salomé Deckens (Aurélie Pons), Deva Syed (Kathy Packianathan) and Zacharie Landiras (Julien Alluguette). A banal situation in the eyes of Églantine Sofianos.

“In a soap opera like ours, with a school as an arena, the students cannot stay ad vitam aeternam,” said the one who allowed the fiction to be born. “They have to finish their schooling and not everyone can become leaders within the Institute, otherwise it would no longer be credible.”

The maker of “Here it all begins” also responded to the desires and multiple projects of its actors: “Our actors sometimes want to experience other things. Other times, these are editorial choices because we have reached the end of a character. Salomé (Aurélie Pons), for example, has experienced many things since the beginning”.

Tongues are loosened

To compensate for their absence, the casting is constantly renewed. Every year, new faces join the casting. New arrivals will arrive from September 2. However, behind the scenes, some people are wondering.

“There is no longer the same magic as at the beginning,” notably revealed to our colleagues a former star of the soap opera, on condition of anonymity. “In the first months, with the exception of the adults and Clément (Rémiens, already seen in ‘Tomorrow belongs to us’), everything was new and we all played in the same team. Today, some arrive with a huge melon and only think about leaving, imagining that they are going to have the leading role in the next Spielberg film.

A bitterness that the production would never have suspected. “We are very careful about this when we are casting,” she defended herself. “We take on both novice actors and others with a little experience, but we keep in mind that, in theory, everyone should be with us for at least three years in order to follow the establishment’s classic curriculum.”

Three major plots planned for this summer

In the future, it is therefore not excluded that other players will take off towards new horizons. But for the moment, the trend should be reversed because three major intrigues will be highlighted during the summer period. One will also focus on the summer internship at the Institute of Solal (Benjamin Douba-Paris) and Lionel (Lucien Belvès).

The second will focus on the ephemeral restaurant run by Enzo (Azize Diabaté), Tom (Tom Darmon) and Victorine (Lou Ladegaillerie), in addition to an equally thrilling last linked to Rose (Vanessa Demouy) who will take off in company of students… But nothing is going to go as planned!

Towards the end of the summer, the 1000th episode of “Here it all begins” will be celebrated in style. To mark the occasion, two former cast members have orchestrated their big comeback for a storyline: Nicolas Anselmo (Eliott Prévost) and Mikaël Mittelstadt (Greg Delobel).

Absent for several weeks due to his other professional projects, Benjamin Baroche will also return at the start of the school year to take over the role of Emmanuel Teyssier, cruel director of the famous Institute.
