Fresh wind in Koh-Lanta ! While TF1 recently broadcast the last season of its survival game “The Immunity Hunters” – ending with Léa’s victory against Meïssa, the channel is already preparing to launch a new edition as it revealed in its conference back-to-school press conference which was held this Thursday, June 27, 2024. And this one called The cursed tribe will be placed under the sign of novelty since TF1 will put three teams in competition. For the moment, the launch date is not yet known.
Like previous editions, viewers will find a yellow tribe and a red tribe, to which will now be added a third team: the cursed tribe. Candidates must do everything to “avoid the cursed tribe and its austere island“. It should be noted that the presence of three tribes in the survival game produced by Adventure Line Productions is not entirely a first. This was indeed already the case in 2017 in Koh-Lanta Cambodia then in 2019 in Koh-Lanta: The war of the chiefs.
Ugo and Frédéric as team captains
Fans of the show hosted by Denis Brogniart will be delighted to see Ugo (winner of Koh-Lanta: Malaysia in 2023) and Frédéric (winner of the season Le feu sacré against Tania in 2013), two former historic candidates of the show. The two Robinsons will be the two leaders of the red and yellow tribes. Frédéric had distinguished himself with his strategies during his season. For his part, Ugo had shone with remarkable athletic qualities and he had even made a comeback in Koh-Lanta : The Legend where he was given the nickname “phoenix”.
During a live broadcast on May 26 on social networks, Denis Brogniart – historic host of Koh-Lanta since the 2nd season – had poured out his heart on this new edition. When an Internet user asked him if Frédéric and Ugo were indeed part of it, Denis Brogniart simply replied: “I won’t give you the answer, but maybe there are people who are rather well informed.”. Denis Brogniart had also promised “heavy, big, good” for this next vintage.
