While TF1 is rebroadcasting the episodes of season 2 of HPIClotilde Hesme, who made a remarkable arrival there, confided in us about her role in the series.
While season 4 ofHPI has just completed the broadcast of its first part on TF1 and viewers will not know the outcome of this unprecedented salvo before September, the first channel is not leaving fans in the lurch. Thus, from this Thursday, June 27, the episodes of the second season who saw Clotilde Hesme disembark in the role of Roxane Ascher, IGPN investigator. Best known for roles on the big screen in a dramatic register, joining the team ofHPI was not easy for Clotilde Hesme.

In 2022, on the occasion of the release of season 2 of HPIClotilde Hesme confided in our colleagues at Télé 7 Jours about the challenge that this new role represented: “I wanted to play in a well-written comedy, because I love navigating different worlds and I don’t want people to label me. Having loved the first season, I did not need to know if it was successful to want to play Roxane Ascher, who is an investigator for the General Inspectorate of the National Police and an antithesis of Morgane Alvaro. On the other hand, I didn’t think that acting in a comedy would be so complicated” the actress readily admits, revealed to the general public in 2007 in the film love songs by Christophe Honoré. And to add that “lComedy requires a lot of rigor and precision. For me, it’s more difficult to make people laugh than to make people cry, and, in HPI, I have to be as minimalist as possible. It’s hard, because I’m quite expressive and talk a lot with my hands.“

But when asked about the presence of a transgender character in the intrigues of the series, the actress was keen to dot the i’s: “It’s great to be able to evoke such themes in a popular series, because it opens up discussion and exchange. I also find it important that there is a character as rich and dislocating as Morgane, because, on television and in the cinema, there are a lot of stereotypes. It is therefore very rare for a woman to be funny, beautiful and intelligent at the same time..”
