For several weeks, Marie-Alix Jeanson, her husband Alexandre and their five children have been preparing to leave Reunion Island, where they have lived for two years. A career soldier, the father has this time been transferred to the Paris region, where the real estate market is particularly tight. But all’s well that ends well for the tribe discovered in Large families: life in XXL. After being afraid of finding herself homeless at the start of the school year, Marie-Alix Jeanson announced that she had finally found accommodation. “Perfect location. Just finalize the schools for everyone and organize the move in for the very end of the summer”she wrote in an Instagram story, this Monday, June 17.

Marie-Alix Jeanson (Large families) talks about the state of mind of his children before their move

The day after this announcement, Marie-Alix Jeanson answered a question that her subscribers often ask her. They wonder how Mayeul, Auxence, Faustine, Victor and Aloys, the children of the family, cope with their numerous moves. “There are no rules, there are as many reactions as there are people in our household. But it’s never easy, for any of the 7 of us. It depends on their age, the friendships created, the destination. It still seems to me that the older the children get, the more complicated it is.. One thing is certain: as parents, we are attentive to their emotions, their joys and their sorrows in order to support them as best as possible.explains the mother.

In order to reassure her children, Marie-Alix Jeanson presents each move to them “like a chance, something positive”. “And this is valid for other things in life”she confides. “But sometimes as parents, these moments of transition and going back to square one are very difficult, and our children become a force, because we admire their strength and their resilience”, adds the mother of an XXL tribe. So far, Mayeul, Auxence, Faustine, Victor and Aloys consider themselves lucky to be able to move regularly. “When we were moving, we asked one of our children: ‘So, it’s not too hard for you to leave your friends?’ He answered us: ‘No, because I had the chance to make great friends, and I will be able to make others elsewhere’says Marie-Alix, impatient to open this new chapter in her life.
