Dog’s Face #2 – Book 2
Dog’s Face #2 – Book 2

The knights with the Dog’s Head and the Silver Chevron are back in this second volume of the series Dog head.

After having amazed us with Book 1, Brugeas, Toulhoat and Guillo do even better with this second opus.

The screenwriter tells us stories of chivalry as close as possible to reality. We discover the world of tournaments. Of course, Brugeas features a young woman who pretends to be a man in this violent world and who fights under the coat of arms of the Dog’s Head. This time, Brugeas also imagines a plot to kill the “Damsel on the List”. Which gives us a mystery to follow in this story, while having other intrigues that are set up. A few twists and turns will be on the menu for this excellent episode. Revelations will be made about some of the protagonists. The reader really enjoys this story of chivalry, where humor still has its place. Brugeas masterfully writes this adventure.

And to embellish it, what could be better than to call on his colleague, Ronan Toulhoat. The latter creates very effective boards, sometimes magnificent and often impressive. The scenes of “fights” between knights are incredibly realistic. The characters gain presence. And the artist knows how to convey emotions in the expressions of his heroes. All colored with rare precision by Yoann Guillo. Great art on every corner of the page.

This Book 2 of Dog head is a great read. A second volume just as successful as the previous one and of which we can’t wait to discover the sequel.
