It’s not easy to determine the cost of a show. Is it live or delayed? Is the host paid each month by RTBF or not? The difference can even be significant between two episodes of the same show depending on the resources mobilized for one or the other. The range can therefore be wide…
A few examples nonetheless. Take the iconic show “The Voice”. The calculator stops at €700 per minute if the show is recorded (the auditions or the blinds), we are told, while it climbs to €1,000 per minute in the case of a live show.
Between €1,000 and €1,200 per minute, this is also what shows like “Les Ambassadeurs”, “Jardins et Loisirs” or “Les Belges du Bout du Monde” cost… Excluding travel or hotel costs, of course. .

We are obviously dealing with prices that are not comparable to what is done in France, for example. Indiscretions have already revealed €700,000 for a show like “Les Enfants de la Télé”, when it was broadcast in prime time. For “Koh-Lanta”, BFMTV quoted, six years ago already, a cost between €800,000 and 1 million euros per episode.
