The Mené country was born from the desire to unite the living forces and stakeholders of the territory to develop it in an essentially rural inland Brittany.
It was March 1965. Nearly sixty years have passed. The cultural association Laur'Art wanted to mark this anniversary with a dedicated discussion evening, Laurenan (Côtes-d’Armor) Tuesday November 26, 2024at 8 p.m.
The actors of the Mené expansion committee
“We will discuss its history, the dreams and achievements that men and women have carried for almost 60 years, without forgetting the perspectives of this territory located in the heart of rural Brittany.
This intervention is part of the next anniversary of the Mené Expansion Committee », Explain the members of the Laur'Art office.
Le Mené, at the beginning of the 1960s, was enclave. Progress had not yet reached its inhabitants.
In March 1965, local actors, nourished by their studies, their travels, their discoveries and, above all, their associative commitment, decided to act. From their dreams, from their initiatives in the associative, cultural and political fields in particular, were born achievements and structures that still exist today.
