this character absent in the rest of the Amazon series?

This recurring character from season 1 of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will, a priori, be absent from season 2 on Amazon Prime Video.

Amazon Prime is preparing the ground for the second season of its adaptation of Tolkien’s universe. The studio hopes to reconcile with fans following a first attempt which disappointed. The trailer for the sequel Rings of Power was unveiled to relaunch the craze and the platform also teased the arrival of a legendary character well known to fans of the Lord of the Rings in the series. That said, what Sauron gives on the one hand, he takes away on the other.

Nothing terribly serious on paper, no cancellation in sight, nor even a budget reduction for the episodes of the series. On the other hand, a priori, a character who was well established in the first batch of episodes from the Amazon studio will not make a return.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Goodbye

While some fans had noticed its absence from the various trailers, the news has just been confirmed today in The Hollywood Reporter: Nazanin Boniadi, who played Bronwyn in season 1, will not return in the second. Some time ago, the actress announced on Instagram her departure from the sets, to which she returned only very recently for the film A Mosquito in the Ear :

“I stepped away from acting in September 2022 to focus solely on the #WomanLifeFreedom uprising in Iran and defending the interests of the people of my country who risked everything for freedom […] Despite my passion for comedy, I knew it would take a very special project to convince me to once again divide my time between my daily work and my vocation as an activist. At Mosquito in the Ear is this project… It’s a great adventure that we can’t wait to share with you. »

The actress played Bronwin

In truth, if the actress is indeed not back, nothing tells us that her character will really be absent from this second season of the series. No announcement has been made yet regarding Bronwinbut we may have the answer in a future trailer, or just by watching the new episodes of Rings of Power, scheduled for August 29 on Amazon Prime Video.
