On the occasion of its 10th anniversary, the La Baule festival directed by Sam Bobino and Christophe Barratier welcomed a host of cinema personalities to La Baule to honor the long and rich career of Claude Lelouch! The cocktails where the personalities mixed took place at the Hermitage or JD Barrière hotels, then this beautiful little world met at the Atlantia for the screenings and finally ended up on the Albatros beach to dine and party with a different musical group each evening! A packed program that marks ten years to the rhythm of the 7th art and film music, a perfect mix that delights the public.
To blow out the ten candles, the organizers honored the man who loves music in cinema so much, the director Claude Lelouch. Accompanied by his wife, the novelist Valérie Perrin, the man to whom we owe the legendary A man and a woman with the late Jean-Louis Trintignant and Anouk Aimée made the trip with great pleasure. He says thus for the Festival: “In sixty years of cinema, summarizes Claude Lelouch, I have arrived at the following conclusion: the screenplay is rational, music is irrational. It is the language of God.“A tribute concert took place on Saturday June 29 to highlight the music that punctuated the filmography of the director of Misérables.
A crowd of cinema celebrities gathered in La Baule!
In the sublime setting of La Baule, celebrities followed one another during the photocalls. First of all, the members of the jury, Franck Dubosc – who came with his beautiful wife Danièle – president, accompanied in his mission by the actors Samuel Le Bihan, Audrey Dana, Leslie Medina and the composer Ludovic Bource. The actor Arnaud Ducret took advantage of his visit to La Baule to share the cinematographic-musical experience with his beloved Claire Francisci in the image of Chloé Jouannet – daughter of Alexandra Lamy and Thomas Jouannet who won the short film prize – and Sandor Funtek, a couple of lovers and actors. Some festival-goers also recognized in the eyes of Nelly Auteuil, producer of the Fil of, and with her father Daniel Auteuil, the eyes of her mother Emmanuelle Béart. Aure Atika – delighted to find her partner Franck Dubosc from the comedy 10 days without momn -, or even Tomer Sisley were at the party.
Music was also well represented with Pete Doherty, Jennifer Ayache and Yarol Poupaud. Melodies and cinema have never gone together so well!
