Jean-Nicolas and Laurie are the last compatible candidates to have married in Gibraltar. In the next episode, the contestant can be heard saying what he really thinks about his new wife. Spoiler alert!
In season 8 of Married at first sight on M6, we were able to attend different weddings. But, not all of them resulted in a romantic relationship. Indeed, if Tracy and Flo made the choice to stay married after the assessment, this was not the case for Ludivine and Raphaël. The latter ghosted his wife for a month before choosing to divorce. As for Alice and Florian, things weren’t going well at all between them since the end of the honeymoon but they had a discussion that changed everything between them. Since then, we have known whether they remained married or not.

As for Marie and Jérémy, they are experiencing a nightmare explained by the young woman on video. For several episodes, another couple has been talked about a lot and it is the one formed by Jean-Nicolas and Laurie. Indeed, the two candidates have been at odds since the start of their honeymoon. Laurie also revealed what happened between them and explained that she was hurt by the young man’s comments. But, what does Jean-Nicolas really think of Laurie?

The next episode of Married at first sight which will be broadcast on Monday June 3 is already available in preview on 6play Max and My Canal. We can thus discover Laurie’s revelations about her disagreement with Jean-Nicolas in the first part then the latter’s confidences in the second. Indeed, upon returning to France, the young man had an interview with the expert Gilbert Bou Jaoudé and he confided to him: “Between Laurie and I unfortunately we didn’t go into seduction. We both lived for a few days but as friends more than as lovers,” before telling: “There were times when I felt stuck facing my old demons. I need to feel physically attracted to a person before I go see them. I tried to get over it but finally I get stuck”.

The candidate then explained what he thought of Laurie and his relationship with her, stating: “I found myself really stuck. I can not. I don’t have that little thing that tells me ‘go ahead and try to seduce her’”. He then observed: “I find myself uncomfortable, I also feel embarrassed to disappoint her because I suspect that Laurie is disappointed and, the person she is in front of her is not the person I am in general ”. For her part, Laurie clearly understood the problem and explained the complicated situation to her friends.

Still during the interview with the expert, the latter asked the newlywed: “Since you felt that the physical attraction was not there, why did you say yes? You had all the freedom to say no or to say yes”. To which Jean-Nicolas then replied: “I could have said no but I am in an experience that is out of the ordinary and if Laurie arrives in front of me at that moment it is because we have every reason to believe that things can work between us”.

He further added: “I don’t do the wow I expected to do but I see her with a big smile, super bubbly, it would be a real shame to stop at a physique that is not the one that makes me go wow”, before confiding: “I tell myself that I have to say yes because there is everything to explore with Laurie”. So, will the two candidates remain simple friends or will the situation resolve between them?
