The children’s channel “Amou Yazid”, well known in the Arab world, announced the temporary suspension of its broadcasts due to serious financial difficulties. During a live statement on the channel’s official Facebook page, its owner explained that the broadcast of the programs had to be interrupted because the monthly broadcasting costs could no longer be covered. These costs include employee salaries and costs related to distribution.

Temporary suspension of the “Amou Yazid” channel due to financial difficulties

It was with tears in his eyes that the famous Amou Yazid announced the sad news to his fans during a live broadcast on the channel’s Facebook page. Between 2 sobs, the host explained that the channel was not closing permanently, but that it was a temporary break.

This news sparked a large outpouring of support on social media, with messages from several Arab countries, including Palestine, calling for broadcasts to resume. This overwhelming support demonstrates the importance of “Amou Yazid” to many families and children in the region, where the channel is an important source of educational and entertaining content.

Faced with this situation, the owner launched a call for help, specifying that his objective was to save the channel’s project, and not to benefit from personal support. He also mentioned that, despite financial difficulties, the channel had broadcast many advertisements for free, and that all the programs offered complied with existing laws. A particularly appreciated gesture was that of a friend from an Arab country who provided cartoons to the channel without financial compensation.

The financial situation of “Amou Yazid” remains critical, and the future of the channel depends on the support it can obtain to cover the high costs of broadcasting. With its monthly fees reaching 900 million Algerian centimesthe resumption of programs is uncertain without substantial financial support. Nevertheless, the owner of the channel hopes that this support will come, in order to allow “Amou Yazid” to continue to offer enriching content to children in the Arab world.
