Tomorrow Belongs to Us: Summary of the episode of Friday May 10, 2024

“Gate socks”

At the Spoon, Mona is very worried about her grandson and questions Roxane about the way she dressed Enora when she was two months old. She explains to the young woman that Georges walks Lucien without socks on his feet. Mona worries that the baby will catch a cold. Roxane is very mother hen and doesn’t think she’s the best person to ask for advice. Furthermore, she is convinced that Georges takes very good care of her son. But Mona points out that Georges has been distracted since he fell in love with Mélody and she doesn’t want Lucien to pay the price. Roxane advises him to talk to his son.

Mona phones Georges and advises him to cover Lucien well. Mélody is present. Mona comes to watch her grandson a little later. But when George returns home, he discovers that his son has socks on his feet. He then accuses Mona of having put them on him. At the Spoon, Mona relates the whole “sock gate” story to Bart. The latter thinks that Mona is especially afraid that her son no longer needs her, because he is starting to get his bearings with Lucien. Mona refuses to hear it.

At the end of the day, Mélody goes to see Georges. She admits to having put socks on Lucien. Mélody explains to him that the had cooled down before Mona arrived and she was afraid he would catch a cold. In fact, this morning she had looked into it and learned that babies at that age have trouble regulating their temperature. Georges is touched by his gesture. He then calls Mona to apologize.

Marianne and her spirit of contradiction

Renaud and Marianne are at Chloé’s. Renaud talks about their trip to the States. He planned everything down to the smallest detail. Marianne flinches a little when she discovers the itinerary. Back at the hospital, Marianne meets Jordan, who has come for tests because he feels tired. Dr. Delcourt is delighted to see him and takes a look at his results. Marianne explains to the young man that he has a significant vitamin B deficiency. Then, she tells him that she is going to see Judith soon. She explains to Jordan that Renaud has organized a family trip to the United States for their wedding anniversary. Marianne then confides to him that Renaud didn’t do anything as she would have liked…

A little later, she tells her husband that she would have done the opposite regarding their stay. She apparently left Los Angeles to arrive in Seattle because of the heat. Marianne then points out that Judith and Maxime already know Los Angeles and that it would be better if they showed them things they have never seen. Renaud recognizes that his wife is right and that it would be more logical to make the trip in that direction. Marianne is relieved. She then confides to her husband that she was afraid he would take it badly and says she is lucky to have a very patient man by her side.

At the end of the day, Renaud finds Alex and Chloé and confides his little scheme to them. He knows full well that Marianne needs to have the last word, so he had the idea of presenting the project to her this morning in reverse. So, she is convinced that she is the one who decided everything.

The Curtises on the run

At the hospital, William spent the night at Manon’s bedside. They have not managed to sleep and are very worried about Aurore being held hostage. William confides to Manon that he would never have thought Etienne and Bénédicte would be capable of doing such a thing. He then tries to reassure Manon by telling her that her uncle will never attack her mother, and that his colleagues will find Aurore. Manon wonders how her father manages to stay so calm. “Because if I think the worst, I go crazy,” William confides to him.

At the police station, there is excitement. A large part of the staff is working to find Aurore. But Etienne and Aurore’s cell phones have stopped transmitting since yesterday. A patrol is canvassing the area where their phones were last located. As for Luna’s phone, it is turned off and the young woman is not at home either. Karim deduces that Luna is the Curtis’ accomplice. The investigators come to the conclusion that Dorian is back in Sète and that they must therefore search for the entire Curtis family. Martin asks Timothée to analyze Luna’s social networks, her calls and her banking transactions in order to find a clue about her hiding place or her destination.

Held hostage, Aurore is handcuffed. Etienne brings her food, but she is not hungry. Bénédicte tells her sister-in-law that she is sorry that she is involved in this whole story. Aurore tries to reason with Etienne and his wife. She points out that the police are looking for them and that groups have undoubtedly been set up at the Spanish border. Right at the same time, there is a knock at the door. These are Dorian and Luna. Bénédicte is to see her son again. Dorian explains to her that he returned to Sète when he learned that she was in the hospital. A little later, while the Curtis family is packing their bags, Aurore tries once again to reason with them. She tries to tug on Dorian and Bénédicte’s heartstrings by talking to them about Manon and William. Without success. Aurore then feels dizzy. Bénédicte admits to her that they added something to her water to make her sleep until they leave. Once Aurore is asleep, Etienne removes the handcuffs. Then, he puts Aurore’s cell phone near her and turns it back on. At the police station, Nordine informs Karim that Aurore’s phone has started jamming again. They rush to the spot. Nordine calls for help. Right at the same time, Aurore wakes up. She confides to Karim that she pretended to break down when she understood that they had drugged her without her knowledge. So she heard that Stephen was talking about taking a detour to reach Spain.

Not far away, the Curtis family is driving and hears via radio that the police are aware of their route. Etienne understands that Aurore pretended to be asleep. He decides to move on to plan B: leave on foot. But Dorian, Luna and Bénédicte are perplexed. They have no phone, no maps and not enough food and water. Etienne asks them to trust him. In reality, he had everything planned. He gives them bags full of provisions. Etienne explains to Bénédicte, Luna and Dorian that he is going to create a diversion and that he will join them in a week. He then tells his son that he will find information on their meeting point in his bag and counts on him to manage the itinerary.

emotional goodbyes, the Curtis family separates. Bénédicte, Luna and Dorian leave on foot. Etienne continues his journey by car and finds himself facing a roadblock. He rushes towards the police. Karim shoots at the vehicle and gets out of the way just in time. A few seconds later, we hear the sound of crumpled metal.
