Aurore and Martin maneuver to bring Nordine and Manon closer together
Aurore can no longer stand to see Manon depressed since her breakup with Nordine. She tries to have a discussion with her daughter and explains to her that staying locked up at home will not solve the problem. “I continue to go to work, it’s already huge,” replies Manon before adding that she doesn’t want to talk about Nordine.
Later, at the police station, Karim teases Manon a lot. The new schedule seems to be the Source of these mockeries. Indeed, Manon has to patrol with Nordine every day. For her part, Roxane gets confused when she sees the new schedule. She thinks the two ex-lovers are back together and tells Nordine she’s happy for them. The latter doesn’t understand what she’s talking about. Roxane then mentions the new schedule. The two exes meet up to discuss their schedule. Manon suspects her mother of having asked Martin to redo the schedule to bring them together again. But neither Manon nor Nordine admit that their breakup affects them and even pretend that they are fine. They then confront their parents together. Manon and Nordine explain to Aurore and Martin that they do not want their new schedules to be changed and that they will adapt. They claim to be able to separate their personal lives from their work. Then, they ask their parents to respect their decision and to stop trying to bring them closer together. However, their parents are not fooled. They think that Manon and Nordine were waiting for only one thing, that their schedules would be changed. Aurore gives them two weeks before breaking down and getting back together.
Charles joins forces with Victor Brunet
Friday, Victor Brunet caught Charles stealing money from him. Instead of reporting him to the police or to Philippine, Brunet offered him a deal: he gives him the sum of 20,000 euros and in return, he will have to provide him with a service at the inconvenient moment. Early in the morning, Charles goes to the wine estate and agrees to get involved in Victor’s business. He takes the 20,000 euros. Then, he then finds Jessica at the Spoon, but she is in the company of Hugues. The latter pretended to be a friend of Charles in order to approach the young woman. Jessica leaves to order at the counter. Charles gives the 20,000 euros to Hugues and then asks him to leave Jessica alone. Hugues warns Charles. If the account is not there, he will not hesitate to physically attack Jessica. Then he leaves the Spoon.
At the police station, Roxane discovers that Charles lied about his alibi and takes Damien into his confidence. She explains to him that he was not able to meet his Greek friend Andreas Stamos last week, because he has not left Greece since January. Damien is hardly surprised. He had gone through his brother’s jokes and discovered that he had tried to contact this Greek friend about ten times since his last interrogation.
A little later, Sara and a fellow police officer go to Philippine’s house. Charles admits to having lied about his alibi. He claims to Sara that he was actually with Victor Brunet, that they are starting a business together and that he prefers that his mother not know about it. Sara is skeptical. The young policewoman goes to the wine estate and questions Victor about his schedule last Wednesday. He confirms Charles’ words and assures Sara that Philippine’s son was with him last Wednesday afternoon. Sara immediately calls Damien to warn him.
For her part, Jessica goes to the hospital to see Marianne, who has been avoiding her since the association’s embezzlement. She tells him that she is not involved in this case of stealing the kitty. Marianne reassures her by telling her that she does not hold her responsible. Then, Marianne blames herself for not having put an end to the parade project which was causing problems from the start. Jessica then gives him a check for the association. These are the profits from his first sales. At first, Marianne refuses to take this money and ends up being convinced. She thanks Jessica. As for Charles, he goes to the wine estate and thanks Victor for saving the day.
At the end of the day, Jessica and Damien’s brother meet at Sylvain and Christelle’s house. Jessica apologizes that the police questioned him just because they are together. Charles tells the young woman that she means a lot to him and that he is happy with her. Jessica and Charles then confess their love to each other…
Bénédicte is hospitalized
Etienne is chatting with Mélody on the sea wall when he receives a call from Aurore who makes him run away. At the hospital, Aurore is at Bénédicte’s bedside. She tells Renaud that Bénédicte felt unwell in her cell. The guard saw her fall and hit a low wall. Renaud explains to Aurore that his sister-in-law has an extra dural hematoma due to the shock, which led to her loss of consciousness. The next 24 hours will be decisive, but given the exams, Renaud is rather hopeful. Then, he explains to Aurore that he must wait for the hematoma to resolve. The latter then hears loud voices coming from the corridor. The agent on duty outside Bénédicte’s room refuses to let Etienne see his wife. Aurore authorizes her brother-in-law to go to Bénédicte’s bedside. Etienne is upset. Aurore explains to Etienne that William is in a seminar in Paris, that she warned him and that he is returning that night. Then, she agrees to leave Etienne alone with his wife. Bénédicte regains consciousness and notices that she is handcuffed to the bed. Etienne explains to his wife that this is the procedure. Then he asks her how she feels. Bénédicte replies that she has a headache and tells Etienne that she missed him terribly. Etienne tells him in return that it is mutual. Then, he tells Bénédicte that he never wants to live without her again and promises her that she will not return to prison!
