A circus arts student died following a fall this Saturday, May 4, 2024 in the Marne. A 3rd year student, he was 23 years old.
“It is with infinite sadness that we announce the death of Titouan Maire, 3rd year student at the CNAC” announced the National Circus Arts Center (CNAC) in a message published in particular on its official Facebook page.
Fall and hospitalization
The young man fell while preparing his escapes, the end-of-course exercise at the CNAC, and he succumbed to his injuries during his hospitalization in Reims.
“All our warm thoughts to his family, his loved ones, our students, CNAC employees, and the entire circus family,” co-wrote Peggy Donck, director of the CNAC and Frédéric Durnerin, president of the CNAC.
The mayor of Châlons-en-Champagne, Benoist Apparu reacted on Facebook: “Immense sadness at the announcement of this news. All my thoughts are with Titouan’s family, his comrades as well as the CNAC teams.”
Who was this young acrobat?
Originally from Valenciennes, the 23-year-old young man was an acrobat in the 36th promotion of the CNAC.
