Fans have been waiting for it for two years. The series “Tulsa King”, starring Sylvester Stallone in the title role, made its return to the Paramount+ streaming platform this Sunday, September 15. This new series, made up of ten episodes in total, will be broadcast at the classic rate of one chapter per week, every Sunday until October 17. Canal+ subscribers will also be able to benefit from it, since the content of the American platform has been added to the offer of the French private channel. But that’s not all. For those who are not subscribers, all you have to do is switch to Channel Six to discover the first season of the series.

The first season in the clear on M6

This Tuesday, September 17, M6 announced the broadcast of season 1 of “Tulsa King”, to be found every Tuesday at 9:10 p.m. starting October 8, as well as in free streaming on the M6+ platform. The star of “Rocky” and “Rambo” this time plays the mobster Dwight Manfredi, recently released from prison after twenty-five years behind bars for having taken responsibility for a crime committed by his boss. Upon his release, he is sentenced to exile by the boss, and must settle in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Dwight will then put together a new team of thugs in this place, which is the opposite of his daily life, to try to build a new crime empire.

Created by Taylor Sheridan, writer of several hit Paramount+ drama series, such as “Yellowstone”, “Mayor Of Kingstown” and “1923”, “Tulsa King” plays on the nostalgia of fans of Sylvester Stallone’s first film. Between mafia affairs and twists of all kinds, the series also draws on humor thanks to the character of Dwight, confronted with a world that is the polar opposite of the one he left before going to prison.

This is not the first major American series production picked up by M6, which broadcast the HBO mini-series “Mare of Easttown”, with Kate Winslet, last March. In the coming months, the Six should also broadcast the dramas “Irrational”, with Jesse L. Martin, “Alert” with Scott Caan as well as “The Tattooist of Auschwitz”, a drama adapted from a novel by Heather Morris.
