Guipry-Messac (Ille-et-Vilaine) was one of the municipalities most affected by the flood of the Vilaine and the floodswhich occurred between Wednesday January 8 and Wednesday January 15, 2025.

During this episode, several people had to be evacuated from their homes and many streets and houses had their feet in water.

From now on, the water level has gone down and the town hall is launching an appeal, in order to census all the people who were affected by the floods.

The town hall requests recognition of the state of natural disaster

The municipality of Guipry-Messac has also “made a request for recognition of a state of natural disaster”, on which an interministerial commission will rule.

At the end of this examination, the municipality will inform you of the follow-up to its request which will allow you, if necessary, to indicate to your insurance the recognition of a state of natural disaster.
