Massacre at the SACPA in Vaux-le-Pénil: An Urgent Call for Animal Protection
Vaux-le-Pénil, In the shadow of the walls of the SACPA of Vaux-le-Pénil, a silent tragedy unfolds. Animals in distress, abandoned, die in indifference, sparking indignation from animal rights defenders. Pounds, often seen as a service for controlling stray animal populations, are far from being benevolent shelters.
One Voice recently sounded the alarm, revealing the inhumane conditions to which these animals are subjected. The situation, described as a massacre, requires an immediate response from the authorities. Employees and volunteers alerted the prefecture by numerous letters, but their calls for responsibility went unheeded.
“We have documented unacceptable abuses,” declares a representative of Mv-educanin, an association which had the courage to denounce this alarming reality. At the same time, One Voice has filed a complaint and requests the administrative closure of the establishment until the animals can receive the necessary care.
-SACPA presents itself as a model of animal management on its website, but the testimonies and evidence show a completely different face. The images of animal suffering collected in the field bear witness to a glaring reality. “If animals survive this ordeal, we are ready to mobilize our resources to offer them a better future,” supports One Voice.
Beyond immediate actions, the association calls on the public to commit to lasting change. Sterilization, identification and vaccination of animals are essential measures to limit wandering and suffering. A petition is underway to urge the government to adopt stricter animal protection policies and to ban online animal sales, often linked to abandonment.
Abandoned, neglected and sometimes slaughtered animals deserve our attention and our action. Together, let’s mobilize to put an end to these atrocities and guarantee a better future for our four-legged companions.
