Alpine skiing – World Cup. No injury but rest for Sam Alphand following his fall in super-G

Sam Alphand suffered a violent fall during the super-G and was transported to Interlaken hospital. The results are positive for the Frenchman who does not suffer from any serious injury. But he will not participate in the downhill on Saturday.

More fear than harm for Sam Alphand. The Haut-Alpin fell heavily in the Kernen-S during the super-G, violently hitting the tarpaulin. Stunned by shock, he got up quickly but was taken to the nearest hospital, that of Interlaken.

“The imaging results turned out to be negative”

This Friday evening, the French Ski Federation sent a press release on his state of health. “Following his fall during the Super-G in Wengen (SUI) today, Sam Alphand was immediately transported to Interlaken hospital for medical examinations, the imaging results were negative ( without any injury), ruling out any serious injury. »

The FFS specifies that the tricolor descender left the hospital and was able to return to the Hôtel des Bleus. As a precaution, Alphand will take a few days of rest and will not be at the start of the Wengen descent, scheduled for Saturday.
