The night of Sunday January 12 was particularly agitated at the Asap home in Talence. After an argument on the phone, several insulting calls and messages, a very young mother alerted staff that her ex-partner and father of her eight-month-old baby was threatening to come, even though he had no right to do so.
Which he does, not without making waves. After consuming alcohol, the 18-year-old young man stormed into the home, armed with a tear gas canister and a knife. He shouts the name of his ex, makes death threats against her and that of their child, commits several acts of degradation until breaking down a door, which he breaks in two.
While waiting for the police to arrive, the young woman took refuge in a neighbor’s apartment with her baby, who kept “jumping” according to her. Questioned by the first deputy prosecutor Benoît Bernard, she claims to be in a “toxic” relationship with the father of her little boy, who has witnessed scenes of violence “since his birth”. She speaks in particular of slaps, hair pulling, punches in the stomach while she was pregnant and just after giving birth, or even insults.
“The image of “The Shining” came to me”
Gestures that the defendant denies. Sheepishly, dressed in a gray tracksuit, he speaks in a low voice and keeps looking at the ground, while he is on trial as part of an immediate appearance before the Bordeaux criminal court, this Wednesday, January 15 . “I just wanted to talk to him,” he slips, admitting that he “lost his temper.” Asked by President Frédéric Macé about the weapons he was carrying, he replied: “I always have these objects on me for security reasons”.

When delivering his requisitions, Benoît Bernard declared that “the image of “The Shining” came to me”. Due to the “dangerousness” of the accused, he requires eighteen months, ten of which are accompanied by a probationary suspension with the possibility of adjustment of the closed part under electronic bracelet, the withdrawal of parental authority, the ban on re-entering in contact with the victim, carrying and possessing a weapon.
In her pleading, the defense lawyer, Ms.e Jacquet, insisted on the great youth and first-time delinquency of his client, “almost a child”. In vain, since the court followed the requisitions.
