Al Hilal inflicted a severe defeat on Al Fateh with a clear score of 9-0 today, in a clash between Portuguese coaches Jorge Jesus and José Gomes, as part of the 15th day of the Football League Saudi, with the presence of João Cancelo and Rúben Neves.
Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly opened the scoring for Jesus’ team in the 20th minute, followed by Brazilian Renan Lodi who scored the second goal in the 39th minute, and former Benfica player Marcos Leonardo who brought the score to 3-0 just before half-time by converting a penalty in the 45+6 minute.
Just before the break, in the 45+9 minute, Serbian midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic added the fourth goal for Al Hilal, with the hosts maintaining their dominance in the second half. Marcos Leonardo completed his hat-trick by scoring in the 54th and 65th minutes, the latter goal coming from an assist from Rúben Neves.
Then, in the 89th minute, João Cancelo provided an assist for Abdullah Al Hamdan, the Saudi striker who came on to replace the injured Marcos Leonardo two minutes earlier.

A goal from Brazilian Malcom in the 90+5 minute and an autogoal from Faisal Al Abdulwahed in the 90+8 minute capped an incredible 9-0 victory, marking the second time Al Hilal reached such a score since Jorge Jesus took the reins of the Riyadh team.
The first occurrence was in November 2023, during Jesus’ inaugural season with Al Hilal, with Al Hazem the unfortunate opponent on that occasion.
With the victory, reigning champions Al Hilal remain at the top of the Saudi League with 40 points, three points ahead of Al Ittihad, who play Al Raed later today, and 12 points ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr, who play goes to Al Taawon on Friday.
Meanwhile, José Gomes’ side Al Fateh remain bottom of the table with just six points.
