Sad news in Manchester: Pep Guardiola has reportedly decided to divorce

Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola and his wife Cristina Serra have decided to end their relationship after three decades together, according to the Catalan press.

A couple since 1994 and married since 2014, they had already been in a long-distance relationship for several years, with Cristina dividing her time between London and Barcelona to manage her fashion business.

This separation comes in a difficult context for Pep Guardiola, who experienced a complicated end to 2024 on a sporting and personal level. Signs of discomfort, sometimes visible on the sidelines, had fueled speculation about a troubled period for the Catalan coach. If the start of 2025 seems more promising on the football side, the daily Sport reports that the separation decision would have been taken in December.

Despite the distance that separated them since 2019, the couple continued to appear together during family moments. Three children were born from this union, Maria (24 years old), Marius (22 years old) and Valentina (17 years old).
