The priority was, with the assistance of the Sûreté du Québec, to evacuate people, and to position jets defensively in order to protect neighboring homes.
relates Éric Bérubé.
No one was in the laundry room and no injuries were reported. Certain indications suggest that the origin of the fire could be suspicious, according to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
The fire is still not under control, but it is under control, according to Éric Bérubé. The causes are unknown at the moment. An investigation will be opened once the blaze is under control.
Power in the area had to be cut off since medium voltage Hydro-Québec cables are located nearby. Nearly 400 homes did not have electricity Tuesday morning.
