The Switch 2 is rumored to launch in March 2025 and speculation about Nintendo’s next console is rife. Since the December 2024 mega-leak which revealed the first images and specifications, other rumors have emerged about the successor to the Nintendo Switch (currently available for $295 on Amazon). Among them, the suggestion that the console could start with Final Fantasy 9 instead of Mario Kart 9. A few days ago, a video surfaced showing the Switch 2, with its dock and Joy-Con. Today, industry insider Nate the Hate shared some intriguing details about potential game releases for the new console.

In a 90-minute podcast at covering topics like new Xbox hardware and general 2025 releases, insider Nate the Hate shared insights on the games that Microsoft could bring to the Switch 2. Games Halo : Master Chief Collection et Microsoft Flight Simulatortwo titles unavailable on the current Nintendo Switch, are particularly interesting. With the updated Tegra T239 GPU, however, the new console should have the ability to run these games.

According to Nate the Hate, Microsoft could also port other titles to the Switch 2, including Hi-Fi Rush, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Final Fantasy 7 Remake et Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. However, the sources of his claims remain unknown. While Nate the Hate has shared accurate rumors before, there’s no guarantee that some of these games, or any of them, will make their way to Nintendo’s next console.
