A little reminder before anything else: all the winners are French. And sailors born between 1988 and 1996 get ready! It should be their turn to shine during the eleventh edition of the Vendée Globe in just under four years. By winning at 40 years old, Charlie Dalin confirms a strong trend since 7 winners were in the bracket between 32 and 40 years old. Only one was younger, François Gabart in 2013 (29 years old), and two were a little more than young forties when they crossed the finish line: Michel Desjoyaux in 2009 (43 years old, but who was 35 years old when of his first success) and Yannick Bestaven in 2021 (48 years old).
