The Belgian central defender does not appear in the plans of Carlos Corberán, the new coach of the Ché club.
Maximiliano Caufriez did not travel to Elda for the match between Eldense and Valencia, which concludes the round of 16 of the Copa del Rey. The Belgian central defender was left out of the squad due to a technical decision. It is not part of Carlos Corberán’s plans.
The player, on loan from French Ligue 2 club Clermont Foot 63, arrived at the club this summer with an option to buy at the end of his loan. So far, he has only made one appearance; he started against Getafe in La Liga matchday 11 and played the full 90 minutes under Rubén Baraja, who has not selected him since.
Meanwhile, Carlos Corberán omitted the player in his second match as Ché coach, and the club is looking for a way to transfer him during the winter transfer window. Striker Umar Sadiq is the main signing of the squad, accompanied by four players from the youth team: Vicent Abril, Martín Tejón, Rubén Iranzo and Iker Córdoba, two of whom play at central defender, the same position as Caufriez.
