Ten years after the 7.9 magnitude earthquake which claimed the lives of 8,000 people in Nepal, the Himalayas have once again been tragically affected. The earthquake, felt as far away as Kathmandu, 200 kilometers from the epicenter, sowed devastation. Initially, the Chinese authorities counted 53 dead, the toll now stands at at least 126. This is the most powerful earthquake recorded in this area in five years.
