At the beginning of the afternoon, this Tuesday, January 7, the SDMIS du Rhône firefighters were alerted of a fire that occurred at the Lyon-Bron business airport.
The causes not yet known
A light propeller plane, Cessna type, was engulfed in flames on the runway.
Around twenty firefighters quickly mobilized to the scene.

However, upon their arrival, the airport security services managed to put an end to the fire.
It all ended around 2 p.m.
Luckily, the plane was empty of any occupants at the time of the incident, and no casualties were reported.
The causes of the fire are currently unknown.
