Jimmy Butler had clearly expressed his lack of joy playing basketball with the current Heat roster and suggested he might look to play elsewhere to find his happiness on the court. He continued his remarks by explaining that he felt happy in Miami, but off the field.

Finally, he said he wants to become a dominant player again and help his team win, something he feels he cannot do with his current franchise.

From an economic standpoint, this suspension will cost him approximately $2.4 million in salary.
