How does Top WebGirondins work?
After each official Girondins match, WebGirondins readers nominate their best player of the match, this is the Top WebGirondins. Players must play a minimum of 45 minutes per match to be eligible for votes. The 5 players who receive the most votes score points as follows: the first scores 5 points, the second 4 points, the third 3 points, the fourth 2 points, and the fifth one point. We then total the points scored by the players after each match to establish a general ranking match after match. At the end of the season, this ranking rewards the Top WebGirondins of the season. It is the result of supporters’ votes which highlights the consistency and performance of the players throughout the exercise. Players like Frédéric Guilbert, Benoît Costil were rewarded, Malcom before him, Cédric Carrasso the year before, Stian Gregersen more than a year ago, Kalle Johnsson last season.
