New instruments to discover
Bordeaux. Etienne Rolin plays the glisotar, a saxophone whose keys are replaced by a ribbon which allows for glissandos, Jean-Marie Colin plays the karlax, an instrument pre-programmed to produce the desired sound following each movement of the performer, and the electronic sampo expands further the possibilities of their instruments. The composer Alexander Mihalič also participates in this evening of “Comprovisations”.
