In search of more playing time, Ansu Fati, the 22-year-old winger of FC Barcelona, could head to Girona this winter. Under contract until 2027, the player trained at La Masia failed to find a leading role in the Catalan squad, in particular because of injuries which slowed down his progress.

This condition would allow the club to secure the player's financial future while offering him a chance to bounce back into a competitive team. Girona would represent an ideal setting to relaunch the career of the young Spanish international.
Seville hors course
A transfer to Seville, once considered, is now excluded. According to Sportthe already tense relations between the two clubs, exacerbated by the Negreira affair and disputes over the registration of players like Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor, put an end to any possibility of collaboration.
Girona therefore appears to be the best option for Ansu Fati, who could benefit from more playing time to regain the form and brilliance of his debut at Barça.
