This is notably the case of Demi Moore, who received the Golden Globe for best actress in a comedy for her role in the film The Substance.

The actress went on stage very moved, and did not hide her surprise “ I didn’t expect that at all. I’m literally in shock I admit “, began the actress. During the evening, this wasn’t the only moment Demi Moore shined on the Golden Globes stage. The actress was in fact one, with her co-star Margaret Qualley, of the artists presenting awards. Side by side to present the statuette for best actor in a drama series, the two actresses replayed their pair from Coralie Fargeat’s film, in which the older one finds success in a younger form, the two women each existing in turn week after week. “ What are you doing here, it’s my week ? », asks Demi Moore. “ I know but it’s the Golden Globes and I’m nominated », replies the young actress.

The horror film follows the fate of Elisabeth Sparkle, a former star turned into a fitness TV show. On her 50th birthday when her boss fires her overnight, she is on the verge of collapse. She thus gives birth to Sue, a young woman in the prime of her life. The principle is simple, one lives its normal life for seven days before exchanging with the other. Sue instantly becomes a star. The only rule for the two women who are one, is to respect this precise schedule, otherwise the circumstances are dramatic. And above all, disgusting. This role offered Demi Moore a winning return to the forefront, after years of crossing the desert. To the point of continuing to enrich his burgeoning collection of Oscar awards?
