On Sunday evening, a senior Hamas source said the terrorist organization had approved a list of 34 hostages transmitted by Israel. The Prime Minister’s office subsequently denied this information: “Contrary to what is claimed, Hamas has not transmitted a list of hostage names until now.” This is one of the points of disagreement between the parties, along with the end of the war and the withdrawal of forces from the Gaza Strip.
A senior Hamas official told Saudi TV yesterday ASharq that “the different Palestinian factions need at least a week to provide all the details regarding the lives of the hostages.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a nighttime consultation on the hostage issue, during which the Mossad chief’s trip to Qatar was raised. No additional details about the talks were immediately provided to media.
